The ATCISX32 is a .032″ brass liner shim designed for use in Cummins ISX engine block counterbores. This shim restores proper liner seating when the original counterbore has been machined or worn. It helps maintain proper liner protrusion, corrects small deviations in bore depth, and ensures effective sealing and mechanical alignment. Brass offer superior sealing caracteristics while alowing for small deviations in liner and block (mallable)
In heavy-duty engine rebuilds, machinists often remove material during counterbore cleanup. The ATCISX32 shim compensates for block wear and shim cutting, enabling the liner to be shimmed back to OEM Cummins specification.
