The DDC6020B is a high-precision .020 inch brass liner shim designed for restoring proper liner protrusion in engine blocks such as Paccar MX-13, Detroit Diesel Series 60, DD15, and DD16. This liner shim is intended to be used when the counterbore ledge is machined or damaged, allowing the engine block to retain correct cylinder liner alignment (protusion) and sealing.
As engine blocks age or undergo machining, the counterbore surface that supports the liner flange may lose material, become uneven, or suffer damage. The DDC6020B brass liner shim fills the gap caused by this material loss, helping to reestablish consistent liner protrusion to OEM specifications.
