M50124 MACK E6 AND E7 Ring Compressor. The M50124 is a tapered ring style ring compressor. On a clean surface apply a thin coat of engine oil to the piston, rings and inside surface of the ring compressor. Install the ring compressor by slipping it over the rod and down over the piston skirt. Keep sliding until tool contacts surface on which the piston crown is resting. Be sure piston and rod are facing the correct direct. Carefully using a hammer handle or like tool, push the piston through the compressor. Do not force the piston as this can damage the O rings.
