- Bore Inspection & Port Plugging: Once the injector clears the head well, lift it away and immediately plug the open copper sleeve port with a clean shop cap to prevent dirt or debris from dropping into the cylinder. Inspect the copper sleeve bore for scoring or carbon buildup before installing a fresh injector with new O-rings and copper crush washers.
